Some stories arrive quietly.
This one didn’t.

The Spiral Between began as conversations between two sisters — me, Amanda, and my sister, Crystal — about memory, intuition, and the strange way certain stories seem to echo across generations. We grew up sharing worlds: imagined ones, emotional ones, and sometimes the kind you don’t have words for yet. Writing together felt less like starting something new and more like listening to something that had already been speaking for a long time.

At first, it was just notes. Scenes. “What if” questions. Characters who felt too familiar to ignore. And then those pieces started circling the same idea: two girls, separated by circumstance, bound by something older and deeper than distance.

That idea became Stella and Sedona.

As sisters ourselves, we understand the push and pull of shared history — the closeness, the fractures, the unanswered questions. Writing this book together meant trusting that dual perspective. Some chapters came easily. Others required us to sit with discomfort, memory, and vulnerability. But that tension became part of the story’s heartbeat.

The Spiral Between: Book One – The Severing is about power awakening before it’s understood, about inheritance that doesn’t ask permission, and about the cost of separation — not just between people, but between worlds. It’s a quiet fantasy rooted in intuition, folklore, and the spaces between what we’re told is real and what we feel in our bones.

This book is also the beginning of a longer journey. A trilogy. A widening spiral.

Book One releases January 26th, and over the next twelve days, we’ll be sharing glimpses into the story, the process, and the world behind it. If you’ve ever loved stories about hidden realms, twin bonds, inherited magic, or the feeling that something ancient is watching — this one might be for you.

Thank you for being here at the start of this journey with us.

The Story Behind the Story (and Why It Wouldn’t Let Us Go)

There’s a moment in every story when it stops feeling like something you’re writing and starts feeling like something you’re listening to.

For The Spiral Between, that moment came quietly.

It wasn’t during an outline session or a plotting discussion. It happened somewhere between late‑night messages, shared memories we hadn’t talked about in years, and a realization that the same questions kept surfacing in both our lives — about belonging, identity, and the strange feeling that something important had been lost… and was trying to be found again.

At its heart, The Spiral Between is a story about sisters — even when they don’t know they are sisters yet.

One of the central ideas behind the book came from a simple, unsettling question:
What if separation doesn’t erase connection — it just changes how it speaks to us?

As we wrote, we found ourselves returning again and again to themes of echoes and hums — instincts you can’t explain, places that feel familiar before you’ve ever seen them, and the quiet pull toward something unnamed but deeply felt. Magic, in this world, isn’t flashy. It’s subtle. It’s costly. And it always asks something in return.

Without giving too much away, Book One follows two young women living separate lives, unaware of how deeply their paths are entwined. As strange events begin to unfold, both are forced to confront the same truth from opposite sides of the spiral: power awakens whether you’re ready for it or not.

What surprised us most wasn’t where the story went — it was how personal it became.

Pieces of our own history slipped into the margins. Childhood rituals. Shared symbols. The comfort and danger of feeling seen. Writing this book together felt less like collaboration and more like uncovering something that had been waiting patiently to be named.

This is only the beginning.

Book One is about awakening, tension, and unanswered questions. It’s about the moment before everything changes — when the world still looks familiar, but you can feel the ground shifting under your feet.

If you’re drawn to quiet magic, layered mysteries, and stories that unfold like secrets rather than explosions, we think this story might be for you.

The spiral is opening.

The Spiral Between releases January 26, 2026.
